The club is offering the following volunteer opportunities to young people undertaking the Duke of Edinburgh (DofE) Award:
Chess Coach – you MUST have a working knowledge of chess (club level or above 1400+) as you will be providing tuition to juniors who may have no knowledge of the game. The perfect opportunity for those with an interest in sport, education, or care.
Archivist – catalogue and index club materials, research club material to inform club projects, training provided. The perfect opportunity for those interested in history.
Filmmaker/Film editor – chronicling club history as part of an ongoing oral history project. The perfect opportunity for those interested in film, journalism, and media.
These all count towards your DofE Award.
